Even though 2018 has already started, it’s never too late to set a goal or goals. Here are a few tips to help you get started and a few of my personal goals.
For me, my number one goal is to have a balanced life! Between being a new mom, the mother of an 18 year old girl, a wife and a stylist, it’s a lot to balance.
So, I had to get organized and literally write everything down. I love using planners and I’m currently using the Freedom Mastery planner (freedommastery.com). This planner is life changing!
Tip #1 Always strive to set achievable goals.
We should never set a goal that is to the moon or that is too high to achieve because we can easily give up before we even get started. Also, remember to keep your goals very simple and track and reward your progress.
Tip #2 Think about setting a goal to let go of anything that is not making you better.
Ask yourself, what makes me happy? What drains me? From there, start investing in the things and people that will help you grow as a person. What’s also important is to self reflect and to live in gratitude.
Tip #3 Make a goal to spend more time with people who care about you. We always forget to spend time with the people we care about. We know certain family and friends will always be there for us, so, at times, we can take them for granted. So, set that dinner or brunch date with the ones you love and love you back.
Tip #4 Invest in your career!
For example, for me, my goal is to make and post one video a week to promote my work. Social media has become a huge platform for my business, so I’ve learned to stay consistent and to bring value to my followers on social media.
Whatever goals you set this year, don’t let fear, procrastination or anything else stop you from making progress!
